It provides a forum for researchers and designers to present their current works and ideas. As part of a trans-disciplinary lab the colloquium series has had presentations from artists, architects, designers, composers, computer scientists, geospatial scientists, performers, social theorists, and philosophers. From such a diverse range of presenters the subject matter is always thought provoking and distinct each week. Recent abstracts from previous presentations are listed below and an archived schedule is available from the top left corner of this page. The colloquium commences at 12:30m in SIAL's n-space located in Building 9 Level 1, RMIT City Campus. Each presentation goes for around 40 minutes followed by a discussion from an informed audience of staff, visitors, and post graduates. A general audience is invited each week to attend, and this is circulated via a SIAL mailing list for the Colloquium. If you would like yourself included on the list please email Margaret Woods. » To view the SIAL Colloquium via Quicktime streaming: SialLive (Broadband only) » To view the SIAL Colloquium archive via Google video: Sial Colloquium Archive Click here to see PAST Events | |||||||||
