Sarah is currently enrolled in a PhD at SIAL as part of the Embedded Practice Research programme, supervised by Professor Mark Burry and Andrew Maher. Her research is focused on integrating digital supportive technology that builds upon an established architectural practice.

Sarah has been embedded in the architectural firm terroir since 2002 and has become an integral part of the practice. In December 2004 she was made a Terroir Associate. She plays a key role in the projects of the office, including the completed Peppermint Bay Function Centre and, more recently, the design of the Hazards Hotel at Freycinet.

On completion of her first degree at the University of Newcastle in 1998, Sarah became known to the practice, terroir, while she was studying her second degree at the University of Sydney in 2000-01. The extremely high quality of her design thinking, her rigorous approach and the high quality output in her projects were all hallmarks of a way of practice to which terroir aspires.

Sarah brings a considered and clear thought process to all her projects infused with a poetic sensibility. Her wide ranging design and organisational skills have also been utilized in the organisation of architectural exhibitions and book publications in association with the University of Sydney.
